Speakers
LeonMatthews: "Python 3: What you absolutely, positively need to know about Unicode"
Unicode is one of those subject areas where the simple concepts at the core are buried under a suffocating layer of complexity and detail. My aim with the talk would be to race through the essential details, but cover the conceptual core is some depth. By the end of the talk everybody will be converting between Python3's str and bytes with confidence and flair!
Second Speaker GuyKloss: "Idiomatic Python" (second half, continued from May 2010)
Read up on the slides and handouts (including further explanations) on David Goodger's PyCon 2007 presentation:
http://python.net/~goodger/projects/pycon/2007/idiomatic/
Each of these presentations will take about 30 minutes plus discussion.
